About Alrina Laker and Sacred Ember

My name is Alrina Laker. I am a Master Practitioner of Shamanic Energy Medicine, trained with The Four Winds Society under the guidance of Dr Alberto Villoldo, and a Lineage Carrier of the Munay-Ki Rites. I am the founder of Sacred Ember, a private practice based in Cape Town, South Africa, offering Shamanic Energy Medicine to individuals and leaders across the world.

I am not a medical doctor, psychologist, or licensed therapist. I do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for any medical or psychological condition. The work offered through Sacred Ember is a complementary energy-based practice and is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological care.

What is Shamanic Energy Medicine?

Shamanic Energy Medicine is a gentle, non-invasive, complementary practice rooted in the ancient healing traditions of the Andean Q'ero peoples of Peru. It works at the level of the luminous energy field — the energetic blueprint that underlies our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual experience.

Practitioners of Shamanic Energy Medicine work with subtle energy systems to support the body, mind, and spirit in moving toward greater balance, wholeness, and wellbeing. Sessions may be conducted in person or remotely via Zoom, with equal effectiveness.

Shamanic Energy Medicine is currently being explored by researchers in complementary medicine and has no known detrimental side effects when practised by a trained practitioner.

What to Expect in a Session

Each session is unique and guided by what is present for you in that moment. Sessions typically last 90 minutes and may include a combination of the following: Illumination, Extraction, Soul Retrieval, Cord Cutting, Ancestral Healing, Destiny Retrieval, and Despacho Ceremony. Your practitioner will always explain what is being offered and why.

During a session you will be fully clothed and either lying down or seated comfortably. Work may be conducted with light touch or above the body, depending on what is called for.

People experience sessions differently. Some feel a deep sense of relaxation and peace. Others experience emotional release, insight, or a sense of things shifting energetically. Some feel very little during the session itself and notice changes in the days that follow. All of these responses are natural and valid. There is no single correct experience.

After a session, it is recommended that you keep the rest of your day gentle — drink plenty of water, spend time in nature if possible, and allow space for integration without rushing back into the demands of ordinary life.

What This Work Is Not

Shamanic Energy Medicine is a complementary practice. It is not a replacement for medical treatment, psychological therapy, or any other form of professional healthcare. Working with Sacred Ember does not constitute a therapeutic or clinical relationship.

Alrina Laker will not diagnose any condition, prescribe medication, or make specific claims regarding treatment outcomes. If you are currently working with a doctor, therapist, or other healthcare professional, please continue to do so. Sacred Ember's work sits alongside — not instead of — conventional care.

Confidentiality

Everything shared within our sessions is held in strict confidence. Your experiences, disclosures, and personal information will not be shared with any third party without your explicit written consent, except in the following circumstances:

• Where I am legally required or obligated to disclose information

• Where there is a clear and imminent risk of harm to yourself or another person

Your client records are stored securely and accessed only by Alrina Laker in the course of providing services to you.

Your Responsibilities

By entering into a working relationship with Sacred Ember, you confirm that:

• You are over 18 years of age, or have the written consent of a parent or guardian

• You are not using Sacred Ember's services as a replacement for medical or psychological care

• You will continue to work with your healthcare providers as appropriate

• You take full responsibility for your own wellbeing and the choices you make as a result of our work together

• You understand that outcomes cannot be guaranteed and that the nature and pace of transformation varies from person to person

Cancellation and Commitment Policy

Single Sessions To cancel or reschedule a single session, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations or no-shows with less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full. I understand that life is unpredictable — if exceptional circumstances arise, please reach out and we will find a way forward together.

The Transformed Leader — Immersion and Embodiment Containers Both containers require a minimum commitment of three months from the start date. This minimum period is non-refundable regardless of payment option chosen.

After the minimum commitment period, cancellation requires 30 days written notice to take effect. Sessions already held are non-refundable. Pay-in-full investments are non-refundable.

Entry into The Transformed Leader containers is by application only. The discovery call is an opportunity for both of us to assess genuine readiness and fit before any commitment is made. If at any point exceptional circumstances arise that affect your ability to continue, please reach out directly. My commitment is always to what serves your highest good — and sometimes that means finding a way through together.

Acknowledgement and Consent

By signing this document, I confirm that:

• I have read and understood this Client Consent and Agreement in full

• I understand the nature of Shamanic Energy Medicine and what it is and is not

• I understand that Alrina Laker is a Shamanic Energy Medicine Practitioner and not a licensed medical or psychological professional

• I understand that Sacred Ember's services are complementary and do not replace professional medical or psychological care

• I take full responsibility for my own health decisions and for maintaining appropriate relationships with my healthcare providers

• I understand and agree to the cancellation and commitment policy relevant to the service I am booking

• I consent freely and voluntarily to receive Shamanic Energy Medicine services from Sacred Ember

Hold Harmless and Liability Release

I, the undersigned, agree to release and hold harmless Alrina Laker and Sacred Ember from any and all claims, liability, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the services I receive, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

I understand that Shamanic Energy Medicine is a complementary practice and that results are not guaranteed. I enter into this agreement of my own free will and with full understanding of its contents.
